Week 3

Two Portrait Subject:
Person 1:
  • Name: Rylee Henderer
  • "Claim To Fame": Rylee has rode horses for a long time and has just recently been trying out to become a Rodeo Queen. She did equstrian team in high school. She tried out for The Philomath Frolic and Rodeo Queen position last year and didn't make it. Just a couple weekends ago she tried out for Benton County Rodeo Queen and won. She will be the 2017 Benton County Fair Rodeo Queen.
  • Best Environment for Photos: The best environment would be with her horse in the arena. Another option would be in a field or wherever she keeps her horse and practices riding.
  • Props: The best props would be her horse, maybe her sash or crown if she has one yet.
  • Contact: I can contact her either by Facebook or call her.
Person 2:
  • Name: Tony "Chulo" Ramirez
  • "Claim To Fame": Chulo  owns Corvallis Fresh Fades. With his business not only has he cut people's hair but he has also helped out in the community. He has helped with OSU Fashion show and cuts hair for the homeless and needy.
  • Best Environment for Photos: His shop. Corvallis Fresh Fades
  • Props: Scissors, trimmer, chair, and even just his shop.
  • Contact: I can call him on his personal number or on the shops line.
Self Critique: The best photo that I have taken so far is when I went to the Yoga class and took a picture of partner stretches. The reason it is the best is because the angle in lower and it shows and tells a story to some point. Even though you can't see everyone's face it still gets its point across.

The worst photo I have taken so far is of a fraternity playing bubble soccer. Even though it is an overall shot I could still have gotten closer instead of zoomed in. I also didn't edit it so there is a lot of extra stuff on top and bottom. The lighting is the only thing that I really going for it because it is during the day so there is good natural light.

The skill that I have most improved is just take pictures and a lot of them. I have realized that even though the person or subject may still be in the same position I should take five or more pictures of it so that I can get the best one.
